- Look for cavities or other signs of tooth decay
- Complete an oral cancer screening
- Inspect your teeth and gums for gingivitis and signs of periodontal disease

Cleaning and Proper oral hygiene
The best way to prevent tooth decay and gum disease is to have your teeth cleaned regularly. Our dental hygienist will remove plaque and tartar thoroughly, keeping your teeth and healthy and clean.

Dental Sealants
Sometimes brushing is not enough, especially when it comes to those hard-to-reach spots in your mouth. It is difficult for your toothbrush to get between the small grooves on your teeth. If left alone, those tiny areas can develop tooth decay. Sealants give your teeth extra protection against decay and help prevent cavities. Dental sealants are plastic resins that bond and harden in the deep grooves on you tooth's surface. When a tooth is sealed, the tiny grooves become smooth and are less likely to harbor plaque. With sealants, brushing your teeth becomes easier and more effective against tooth decay. Sealants are typically applied to children's teeth as a preventive measure against tooth decay after the permanent teeth have erupted.

Fluoride therapy
Fluoride therapy is the delivery of fluoride to the teeth topically or systemically in order to prevent tooth decay (dental caries), which results in cavities. Most commonly, fluoride is applied topically to the teeth using gels, varnishes, toothpaste/dentifrices or mouth rinse

Night Guard
Grinding your teeth can damage enamel, wear down teeth, cause jaw pain, or irritate your gums. The noise from teeth grinding can also disturb your spouse's sleep if loud enough. If you grind your teeth you should consider a night guard. The night guard, which is very similar to a mouth guard worn by athletes, provides a barrier between your top and bottom teeth while you sleep. All night guards are custom fitted for comfort and to allow for proper breathing. Our dentist will take an impression of your teeth and have the night guard created by a dental lab. If you suspect you might be grinding your teeth at night set up an appointment with us today.
